Topic: See the light?

since last friday (over a week ago) at work we have seen this. 5of us that are outside smoking noticed what looked like a star to the north of us.it moved straight to the east from the west and then the light just diminished slowly.it has been happening at the same time,the same spot in the northen sky here in nebraska.Us at work know it is not a falling star nor an airplane. just curious as to know if anyone else has seen it? It happens at about 9:40p.m to the north.

it's probably the direct tv satellite or some kind of satellite.

I am in Missouri and it has been cloudy the past week, but as a star gazer could not tell you, a satellite maybe, a good websit for star gazing and what is going on is space.com, bet I will be aout about 9;30 the next clear evening, see if I can anything

but it was very bright then just faded away quick.same time same spot. is that possible?

of all the times i have been there on break i have never seen it until last week it started.

i was thinking about trying to get coast to coast in on the a.m radio and call it in lol

lol hey man that is a satellite. it is reflecting the suns light witch makes it look bright. when it gets into the shadow of the earth it looks like it fades away. but it is still there. it just isnt reflecting any sun light.

yes but at that time of night the sun is almost under earth which the sun sets to the west.and the light was straight north so how could the sun shine on her?

evad.......I used to think all airplanes at night were ufo's......haha my dad musta thought I was crazy!!!! ITS JUST A PLANE!!! though I do believe there is other life forms

yes enimail,it looks the same but this is no meteor i have ever seen. it travels from west to east then fades out quick. something ive never seen before. my mind is open
