She averts his intense gaze, as he greets her,
She can't address him directly, just yet,
She's not able to admit that she wants him,
That her appetite's been capriciously wet.

Being headstrong made her way more vulnerable,
To the seduction of his slick cunning, and charm,
While breaking through her stubborn resistance,
He's not given her much cause for alarm.

Like a hummingbird's tongue tasting nectar,
Feeding on her body he devours her soul,
Until soon she'll be only his entirely,
There will be nowhere else for her to go.

He knows the control he holds over her,
And he enjoys watching her fitfully squirm,
Since the first moment they both looked up close,
He became the last hard lesson she'll have to learn.
