Record High Say Big Government Is Top Threat. Do They Really Mean It? A recent Gallup poll resulted in a record high of 1,000+ Americans polled naming “Big Government” as the top threat to the United States as opposed to Big Business or Big Labor. This is unquestionably a good thing, however one has to wonder if those questioned truly understand what Big Government is, and if they truly mean it when they say that it is the biggest threat to the US. Each party group currently rates big government as the greatest threat to the country, including a record-high 92% of Republicans and 71% of independents, as well as 56% of Democrats. Democrats are most likely of the partisan groups to name big business as the biggest threat, at 36%; relatively few Republicans, 4%, view big business as the most threatening. http://lionsofliberty.com/2013/12/19/record-high-say-big-government-is-top-threat-do-they-really-mean-it/ |

Perhaps the citizens are becoming aware of what "obamacare" really stands for ... as opposed to what they were told.
Pretend we have a pie chart of the money spent on medical care. In the old days, the pie consisted of how much money the consumer gave to the medical providers. Nowadays, the pie has a big slice of money taken by the insurance companies and an every increasing slice taken to pay government bureaucrats leaving much less of the pie for actual medical services. Just as important, all the people (government and insurance) between you and your health provider has some say-so in what you get where it used to be just you and your doctor. And then there is always some idiot who can be convinced that all that regulatory pie is "saving you money"! Now the newest slice of your pie is the slice that pays for someone else's pie. |

I don't think any medical program in todays medical environment will do any good in preventing disease, which is where most of the savings and health could be established over the long run. A lifesyle that includes little walking from here to there and an uninformed public is bound to see a rise in diseases and even new disorders becoming ever more frequent and common. Health has to start at the personal level. All of this back and forth about establishing a good system is vital, for medical treatment must be in place for those who need intensive medicine and treatments, but that is only a small part of the problem. It is like a band aid. Compared to an inner health lacking a sense of spirituality and the body combined, and with a media that tries to keep small organic and natural foodstuff out of the limelight, with the health of the individual before he needs medical intervention, the issue of finding a suitable government policy is secondary at that point. Much that was needed was not done for the person before it was too late, before they needed serious measures to be taken. Until a more thorough practice is established that focuses on prevention and a whole person view, well before tradegy strikes, any policy making is just idle political back and forth.

Corporations polluting the food and water chain with little or no oversight or punishment, Big Pharma creating more disease, sickness than it cures, politicians taking payoffs to allow it, then making it so companies like Monsanto can remove nutrition and quality of foods, creating cancer and other side effects in favor of quantity, while avoiding prosecution, then outsourcing jobs and manufacturing thru regulation and taxation in favor of those corporations..... Poverty by design, welfare instead of jobs, debt instead of prosperity, prevents Americans from any hope of quality healthcare The REAL problem with healthcare will never be addressed by a corrupt congress |
