at times like these, chill in the air, wine in the frig, bobby darrin on the player, warm sweaters on the shelf...
I miss my mom's side of the family. my aunt would have totally loved bobby...even gramma loved him. evenings like these we'd drink a little wine, my uncle would tend bar, and tell outrageous family stories, argue about politics and theatre....listen also to some barbra (streisand), they are gone now mostly....but definitely live on in my memory what are you musing? |

Nice to see you back. Did you sneek through the back door?
I was thinking about how close I feel to people on here. I don't mean in a creepy way. It's just that I never expected to bond with anyone when I first joined. Thought it would only go as far as replying to post's on the forums, yet I have a true appreciation for all the connections made. When a family member dies, or something else bad happens, we are there for each other. I can really appreciate how caring the people on here are. They are there when you need someone to lean on. Sometime's people we know offline, don't always have time to listen. So thanks :) |

Musing over how I can reprogram my brain to not think about some of the stuff it thinks about...because that would be awesome.

So thanks :) your welcome ;) IDK why people are nice here I travel all the time so I don't have a constant in my life,I'm not close with anyone so that's why I'm able to get attached easy to people here I guess. I have lots of room in my live for good descent people. Hope your feeling better Rawrr. Maybe I could adopt you and I could brush your hair. |

These are my favorite threads, when it feels like we are sitting around gabbing.
Me and a buddy on my last trip were talking about Bobby and how we need to play some of his stuff. He was right in that cross over spot from the old to new. "it's the good life", "who could ask for anything more". |

Musing over how I can reprogram my brain to not think about some of the stuff it thinks about...because that would be awesome. that would take a lot of mental strength and energy. I think of the times in yoga where we try to empty our minds. It really is not as easy as it sounds....the events of the day try to creep in...or whatever it is that we have had on our minds. It is definitely a skill that require s practice. :) |

He was right in that cross over spot from the old to new. "it's the good life", "who could ask for anything more". bobby darrin was a little before my time, and a little after my folks time, but they listened to him now & then, especially my aunt and gramma, in the same way we might listen to the younger artists of today. he had a lot of style and class it seemed :) |
