Bigtime true, same for email addresses and other types of identifications and types of thread topics and posts.

I've learn so much here, and also though about a sense of humor as a lot of folks do the reverse of who and what they are about type of thing showing their wit. Which I find pretty cool actually.

Exactly about basing personality on what they post in the forums; this one guy I used to talk to, his email persona didn't match his forum persona. I choose to take the forum as the "real" person so I stopped talking to him. Creepy....

There have been many threads of this on mingle, but I find it fascinating and have spent a lot of time studying the multiple personalities we all have.

People say they are the same everywhere, but it's fact that this is not so. For example they have done studies on how we are different on the phone, online, in a car, shopping, doing something we like or don't like. We are like chameleons in reality and are so automatic we don't even realize we do it.

We tell who and what we are and don't even know we do it. Like one of the ones I like is people when you ask them if they are positive will almost always say yes cause that's how they see themselves but when they do their daily walk and talk you see a ton of negative in what they do, but they don't even know they are doing it. There's a ton of stuff like this and makes for good study when getting to know others and ourselves.

I know I'm different depending on who I'm with and what "hat" I'm wearing. But we all have mannerisms we don't notice. I try to be aware of how I am portraying myself to others. But even if I do like 69, or smoke pot all the time I'm not going to advertise it in my screen name, unless I am looking for easy people who like to get high. jmho
