Your relationship is going great when you start to feel changes in your partner....can you tell when she/he is about to end things with you? Do you have that sense of a impending breakup?

I'd say it depends on the changes that are being made.
For example is she/he shedding his/her skin revealing him/herself to be a slimy alien or something? Because that COULD end a relationship. |

Sometimes, I do.
Was dating a guy and when he said I need to talk to you, I told him that he is not that into me. It was entertaining to be honest. He wanted to talk and talk about it. It was very funny. We are great pals now. I am always feeling an impending doom. If there is nothing wrong, I look for something to be wrong. Sigh. |

there many things with my soon to be ex wife that made me know that the marriage was over, The final thing was that she told me she had invited her first ex and his live-in for christmas Dinner on Christmas, " because the kids wanted to be with him on Christmas and it was supposed to have been our first Christmas together. Honestly I didn't have a problem that the kids wanted to spend the holiday with their Dad. Needless to say I moved out Two days later.

joshy!
Yea, it's easier for a guy to tell the changes, especially after...umm...the first tri-mester. For a woman...usually you can tell when he starts to listen to country music. |

You could certainly have a sense that something isn't right, especially if your partner seems to be withdrawing from you or otherwise changing behavior.

Yea, and I can add to this. I just recently got the old line. It's not you it's me. Without going into alot of detail she is a christian lady with a sorted past and was recently saved. Her past issues and being to tempted sexually was her reason. |

You know it's over when he says he doesn't want to get sick cuz he's got asthma so he goes to his "dads" for the night and doesn't come home until at least 9am.....and he brings home gifts from just a "friend"

I was living with someone for a long time (6 years) back in the 90s. Whenever anything didn't go his way in the relationship, or he felt "bored", he cheated. I always found out. How stupid was I??? I look back and shake my head. But of course you always think they'll "come to their senses" and "realize you're the one". What a nightmare, and the one and only time I had a relationship like that. I knew and accepted that it was truly over when he walked in with hickies on his neck (hickies!! 40 years old! Are we in junior high??). I made arrangements and got my own apartment. That was TEN years ago and although I let go emotionally, I wouldn't p on him if I saw him on the street. Actually, I think I would. My divorce was 10,000 times easier than that breakup!

I thought I could always tell when something was wrong. I honestly thought that my ex-bf was going to break up with me...instead he asked me to marry him.
I guess I can't tell when something is wrong at all. It seemed like when I thought he was pulling away thats when he would do something crazy like that!! Needless to say, I had to break it off because he was driving me crazy!! I DO believe that I can tell when someone is cheating on me. Then again...that might be off also!! haha |
