Tell us what you really think, James.

Actor James Woods has been quite vocal with his criticism of President Barack Obama in the wake of the government slimdown, and the “Too Big to Fail” star said, as a result, he now expects to struggle to find work in Hollywood.

Woods has been busy tweeting about the slimdown and the President, focusing in particular on the fact that veterans have been unable to visit war memorials in Washington D.C.

“This President is a true abomination. To have barricaded the WW2 vets, but allow illegal aliens privilege...” Woods tweeted on Oct. 8.

But Woods, 66, was just warming up. The actor also called Obama “just vile. A small, small man.”

That prompted one of his followers to ask if the actor was concerned his political views would affect his ability to find gainful employment in Hollywood.

“Dude, aren't u worried about...u know..ever working again??” the Twitter user asked him.

Woods replied: “I don’t expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first.”

But Woods didn't stop with the situation at the memorials. Some of his other tweets also criticized ObamaCare and Democrats. Here is a sampling:

Woods is not, however, completely alone in Hollywood on this one. The actor tweeted that Gary Sinise, a longtime supporter of veterans' causes, has his back.

Imagine in america that if you have an oppositional opinion you are considered a heretic. America the land of individualism yet rarely can one person with a singular voice speak without the conformist minions clammoring for acquiescence...Thr capacity of critical thinking is needed now more than ever as we are continually bombarded with emotional rhetoric which is highly self righteous yet lacking in any real substance...

his approval is actually 44%, not an extreme difference of 6 percent from the disapproval of 50

so his hard core supporters are no less hardcore than his opposers,,

Why should I care what any Hollywood actor thinks about any American President?

Well, the last time that I checked, Hollywood celebrities (in general) are no more experts on politics and government than blue-collar workers of any occupation. So, what makes the political opinion of a Hollywood celebrity newsworthy?

No. That is just untrue. You shouldn't make stuff up.

"The Associated Press-GfK survey affirms expectations by many in Washington - Republicans among them - that the GOP may end up taking the biggest hit in public opinion from the shutdown, as happened when much of the government closed 17 years ago. But the situation is fluid nine days into the shutdown and there's plenty of disdain to go around.

Overall, 62 percent mainly blamed Republicans for the shutdown. About half said Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility.

Most Americans consider the shutdown a serious problem for the country, the poll finds, though more than four in five have felt no personal effect. For those who have, thwarted vacations and a honeymoon at shuttered national parks, difficulty getting work done without federal contacts on the job and hitches in government benefits were among the complaints.

Asked if she blamed Obama, House Republicans, Senate Democrats or the tea party for the shutdown, Blair, an independent, said yes, you bet. All of them. She's paid to fly with a group to four national parks in Arizona and California next month and says she can't get her money back or reschedule if the parks remain closed. "I'm concerned," she said, "but it seems kind of trivial to people who are being shut out of work."

The poll found that the tea party is more than a gang of malcontents in the political landscape, as its supporters in Congress have been portrayed by Democrats. Rather, it's a sizable - and divisive - force among Republicans. More than 4 in 10 Republicans identified with the tea party and were more apt than other Republicans to insist that their leaders hold firm in the standoff over reopening government and avoiding a default of the nation's debt in coming weeks.

Most Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling his job, the poll suggests, with 53 percent unhappy with his performance and 37 percent approving of it. Congress is scraping rock bottom, with a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent.

And how does this background qualify James Woods to be a political pundit more than the background of a blue-collar worker?

Anyway, getting a nomination is easy. Winning a major award is the hard thing. The Emmy? A major award. Those other things? Minors.

rofl He's the one who said he would cross t5he aisle and work WITH all parties in Congress and so far it's been my way no compromise. You cant defend your messiah on this one, he made a $hit sandwich and now he has to eat it. Even the Dem leadership is backlashing at him.

Oh, and as far as Woods, he's been in over 100 movies and been on television on over 50 different shows since the 70's with several projects in the work. Oh and also, the numerous awards he has won and the numerous he has been nominated for over the years. I guess people who don't have talent to nominated and win. Oh and BTW he is a registered Democrat.

according to an ONLINE poll,,,

from the same article:
Comparisons could not be drawn conclusively with how people viewed leaders before the shutdown because the poll was conducted online, while previous AP-GfK surveys were done by telephone. Some changes may be due to the new methodology, not shifts in opinion. The poll provides a snapshot of public opinion starting in the third day of the shutdown

from the longstanding and trusted GALLUP POLL, his approval is at 44 percent
