I'm new to this thing and I'd like to meet some cool people in the general toronto area. Online dating freaks me out mostly because of the show catfish BUT I'm very open minded and willing. I guess I resorted to online because you can put everything out there to take it or leave it. Has anyone had success meeting someone online?

Welcome!! glad to have you. Toronto is a beautiful city, I was rasied in Detroit across the bridge and have been there many times. I really like the science center.As far as catfish just keep a close eye on the emails eventually scammers and catfish run out of lies and they are easy to spot. Good luck in your search your a very lovely young woman.

Welcome and good luck to you. I agree about being hesitant about online people (Catfish is awesome, by the way) but as the other person said, be careful and if someone seems shady, go with your instinct. Also, don't limit yourself to just online dating, if you can meet people in the real world, take that opportunity.
