My dog passed away some time last night. I am heart broken. He was 15 and unwell. I knew it was coming but wow...it hurts...so much.

My heart is breaking for you. It a horrible thing to go through.
We know when we take on a pet that our time with them is so limited ,but yet we are never ready to give them up. I Will be going through this myself as my beloved Golden Retriever has cancer , we just found this out a week ago. If people were only half as kind and loyal and loving as our pets are ,the world would be a much better place. Again I am so sorry for your loss

Thank you all. It's so very nice of you to convey sympathies and condolences. It's a painful thing we all experience eventually with our animal friends.
I almost forgot he wasn't there a few times today, and then of course I was hit with that dreadful feeling upon remembering he's gone. . .
