Funny clip of a famous study done showing the effect of unequal reward. Very interesting what we can learn when we examine animal behavior. Studies like this one have been replicated over and over with similar responses shown by a variety of different species. Gotta think us humans aren't exempt.

Very interesting what we can learn when we examine animal behavior.

That it's ideal if human beings were kept in cages while the people that control the grapes decide who gets them by giving people meaningless tasks to do?

Studies like this one have been replicated over and over with similar responses shown by a variety of different species.

You notice the monkey that gets the grape doesn't offer to share?
The monkey with the cucumber doesn't ask the other monkey to trade or share?
That the two monkeys don't pool their resources?
That there is no discussion about one monkey requiring more health care than the other one provided by their captors?

You notice that the two monkeys weren't offered job interviews before being put in cages to work out a contractual offering for their selling their services to the study where one would receive cucumbers and the other grapes?

You notice one wasn't given 3/4 of a grape to the others full grape?

Gotta think us humans aren't exempt.

Exempt from what, exactly?
What, exactly, do you think this video or study is actually showing?
That monkeys don't like cucumbers when there is the possible option of grapes?

There are a ton of things that you can infer from studies like this.

So what exactly are you inferring? Just what someone in a white coat or a headline is telling you to believe?

Sometimes even intelligent ones among us miss the whole picture by focusing too much on details.

control who gets, control all that occur, of course, such can only work on anything that wants something.

who be in charge, the controller, the carrot or those chasing the carrot.

However, all animals are not alike. Maybe more humans need some bonobo qualities?

I have loved this short video since the first time I saw it.

Interesting clip, indeed. And they say you can't learn from animals...
