I thought this thread was going to be about losing yourself in a relationship. I have been guilty of that. Having the other person and what they want become more important than you and what you want.

Though I lost meself once; organized a big countrywide search and everything. Imagine my embarrassment when it turned out my shaving mirror had slipped outa the frame!

lol,,,I always thought lose yourself was a funny expression
all of it, stuff that makes us happy, unhappy , fulfills us or doesn't fulfill us, turns out good or turns out bad is still all part of 'us' and WHO WE ARE,,,, |

What about when who you think you are is put into serious doubt when you learn that others don't see that same person? Does that mean you haven't actually found yourself?

I thought this thread was going to be about losing yourself in a relationship. I have been guilty of that. Having the other person and what they want become more important than you and what you want. as long as he is also doing that you are both in fine shape because for each of you someone cares for you more than they do themselves love is the loss of the self...in it's purest form |
