Head Start is a good program. Your child can learn the basic academics and to socialize and begin getting ready for the next step. Who hoo! It's a good thing. Hang the art work on the refrigerator and be a proud and involved parent.

I would rent all the R rated movies you want at Redbox or on Netflix that you can't watch with a baby in the house. On Netflix, Orange is the New Black is a good series not acceptable for children. LOL.

Count your blessings and start saving to send your kid to college. Kids fortunate enough to start their education with Head Start Are WAY more likely to have a successful education and move on to college track in life. If you start early with your state's college bound funds they can amplify your contributions and the dream a reality.
The suggestion to participate in your child's Head Start is and excellent one because the likely hood that yo7u will develop high quality lasting friendships is yours and your child's future. |

How do i make my kid go to the restroom he's two I couldn't make mine go. I just tried to encourage him when he was interested. I didn't push him And one day it just happened. Boys are harder and usually don't potty train until age three. That's what my pediatrician said . Hang in there! |

How do i make my kid go to the restroom he's two Well potty training a two year old is probably possible but will depend a lot on the child's circumstance and development. If the child is not stressed out and walking heel toe ( and not still tippy toeing when he runs) probably has the muscle development to fully train. Before you are spinning your wheels. Doesn't mean you can't start developing the association of using a bathroom to urinate or have a Bowel movement by doing all the diapering in the bathroom in a calm and matter of fact mannor. Don't use the bathroom for entertainment, chatting, or discipline. Buying diapers is not your child's personal punishment of you and celebrating the developemental milestone when you occasionally have success is probably more counterproductive than anything. Trying to teach your child personal privacy when you make bathroom functions public conversation is a mixed message. If you let it bug you it is giving the process and the child WAY to much power over you and only slowing down the process. If you think your child is close to the potty training stage switch to pull ups (only at home) and try to make it as easy as possible to get to the bathroom and on a toilet that is clean and stable. I personally never had any luck with potty chairs and or special seats. Remove rugs and cover and if you have the higher rise toilet put a solid step stool. Using the urinating on cheerios thing is more likely to get your child in trouble for doing so on something or someone you do not want them to than success at using the toilet. This is also a time you do NOT want to let a child urinate outdoors as once they do it they are not going to understand it is not ok to do it other inappropriate places or times. If you know your child's voiding patterns by keeping a few notes it is easier to know when to be " bathroom available" and up your chances of a success. Don't make a big deal of bathroom trips or "success" a simple smile of approval and reminder that is what is healthy is enough. I would recommend avoiding strong smelling soaps or bathroom sprays as it can give a child a headache or rashes if you bathroom frequently. If you are offering the bathroom in anticipation keep the stress level low by offering a quiet meditation, turning so you are not eyes on with out turning your back completely so that they relax, void fully, and have time to clean themselves as much as possible. Kids really pick up on body language and your expression so it may take an effort on you to be tolerant but it will help. If your child is not potty training by three it is not cause for great alarm because it can be delayed as far as 5-6 but a check up with a pediatrician to see if your child is not chronically constipated, over hydrated by too much soda or citrus juice, or has other developemental or physical problems is in order. A lot of times it is just a simple thing that can be easily corrected. |
