I feel like this all the time, especially when meeting girls. I always feel like they only notice my oddities/eccentricities or my shortcomings without actually giving the "real me" a chance. I'm fully aware that my personality can be a little odd at first if you don't know me, but that doesn't mean that I'm a complete weirdo. It gets a little disheartening when it keeps happening over and over, but there's just no way to change who and what I am.
