My head in my hands i cover my eyes
shielded from the day and all its pain
i can't focus on anything but the hurt
this time it cut me so deep my heart bleeds
the truth was i fell without thinking
touched the sky and my wings burned
i believed in you now im broken on the rocks
just cant seem to let go just lay suffering
my heart it true dam it and so is the pain
you left me here without warning for another
can you imagin what im going through
did those words mean nothing you gave me
now im just a hollow shell were life grew
my faith taken as you lay in the arms of lies
do you wake as i do and think of me briefly
to what may have been or is that yet to come
if you ever return i will be gone only for you
i take back my heart today and try to mend it
one day ill find a true honest love and cherish
and share footsteps in love for our eternity
