I couldn't believe it. She seemed like a smart person who had taught me a lot. From all the war stories she had told me about her prior relationships I thought here is a person who is advanced above her years. She seemed like a person who had struggled the hard way to get her own place; her own vehicle and had so much to live for. Then she told me the awful truth. She was getting married. I tried to reason with her. I asked her if she was being blackmailed or what kind of dirt this person had on her. She was determined to go through with it. I talked to him and he seemed as bad as she was. All I could do was to wish my charge nurse and this guy she met the best. They will be in my prayers. It is such a tragedy but I guess they are really getting married. I just wish I could have seen the early signals I could have helped more.
