A military coup in Egypt yesterday resulted in the removal and imprisonment of the elected president, Mohamed Morsi, a closure of media outlets sympathetic to him, the house arrest of his advisors, and the suspension of the constitution. The military that overthrew Morsi is the main recipient of the $1.3 billion yearly US aid package to Egypt. You could say that the US “owns” the Egyptian military that just overthrew its democratically-elected leader.
The hypocrisy of the US administration on these events in Egypt is stunning. As the New York Times reported today. http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2013/july/04/us-egypt-policies-dont-pass-the-laugh-test.aspx NYT article http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/04/world/middleeast/egypt.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 |

We have not heard the last from the people of Egypt. They will not rest until THEY take charge of their government. These people have balls of iron.
If they can keep it peaceful, they may wind up with a lot of martyrs, but the number of overall deaths will be minimized and they will WIN!! The government of egypt will be a government of its people, or there will be no government at all. Judgment Day is over. The only thing remaining is the arrests & trials of the criminals everywhere who stood against the people. |

There are so many articles out there right now on this Egypt issue it's hard to know (as with the Syria/Iran issues) which are credible and which are not.
Since nobody can believe anything they see, hear or read from the corporate news media, gov't talking heads. or even internet sources, the best question is why are we even involved in the ME fiasco? We have 565 of our own DC terrorists and a corrupt gov't to worry about! |

I think a fence is a great idea for reform...... around DC.... now that would create some REAL reform if they had to practice what they preached for a shot at freedom or success under their own policies! Innocent till proven guilty used to mean something! They might even have to read the constitution and bill of rights.... or maybe even the bills they sign into law for a change! |
