Maybe, but I'd want to know just how committed he is really going to be before any marriage plans. Nothing worse than hearing some divorcee brag about how they got most of the asset's from their divorce. That isn't a very nice trait, in my eyes. They might aswell have robbed a bank. What does THAT say about their marriage. Asset's, who needs em?

Marriage is the best thing in life Tell that to all the people requesting divorces. Marriage is something in theory that sounds simple. Meet someone, fall in love, and spend your life together. Too bad it is not that simple in practice. |

I appreciate the sentiment but if that were true, why are divorce rates over 50% and why are over half of those who remain married unhappy?
I am by no means anti-marriage but I know that the way relationship and marriage is done in this culture, for the most part, doesn't work. I think what we really seek is connection ... and even beyond that ... communion with one another. Where we are free to be the full expressions of ourselves while embracing and nurturing the full expression of our partner. If we can actually do that and be married what a wonderful thing that would be. |

I think most marriages fail because they are seeking some ideal called 'love' which is highly unmaintainable without work,,,,,

I very much want to believe it CAN be, so will go on believing until proven delusional.

The moon is the best thing in life.
Not an idea like marriage. I'm the second best thing in life. (Luna will be too once I find her) Third best thing is is Mountain Dew. |
