There is nothing wrong with me. Why do you feel that you had to get so defensive? Over a simple harmless general statement.

Whisper when you used 2nd person in that post (in this case YOU) it usually means you are directing it to someone and is not general. Your response was DIRECTLY underneath mines with 2nd person.

I have nothing against you. I just wanted to explain myself because after your response my original first post seemed insensitive. I didn't want to leave a negative impression that's all..no biggie

It is a forum, I am going to be posting under a lot of people. Just because I post under any one person does not mean I am directing anything at them, UNLESS I post there name in my message. Which in this case I did not. Lex is one of my dearest friends, we have been talking for a very long time and am starting to know what he likes and does not like. It was just a GENERAL statement. Not once did I say "Boredchick Lex does not like to be pressured." I was actually very polite in the statement not rude at all. And you had to turn it in to this whole big thing. Then you have the nerve to ask what is wrong with me? If you felt offended by the comment then maybe you have some security issues that you need to work out.

Bleh. Let it die ladies. Play nice.

I am quite aware what "second person" means. I am also aware that I am able to use the word YOU in a general meaning with out it having to be directed towards anybody. So please go deal with your issues away from this thread. This is Lex's day and I do not want him having to read a whole lot of garbage just to read the good stuff. I have talked to Lex about the comment, and he did not seem to have a problem with it. The only person that seems to is YOU and yes this time YOU means Boredchick But I will not allow anything or anyone ruin his day. Because he is my friend that means a lot to me. So go and take it off of this thread.

Several people alerted me about the existence of this thread, and I had to check it out, seeing as how I am always afraid people will call me a Communist or the reincarnation of Vasco de Gama or something.

I want to thank everyone who participated in this thing -- it means a lot to me, and I think it demonstrates just why JSH is different and special -- I have never seen a thread like this on any other site (not even the ones that have forums), and this serves as a testimonial to the sheer quality of the people who post here.

I'm also touched by the mix of the respondents here -- some of the real old-timers, some new people, people from my friends list, people I have just exchanged a few posts with on the forums....

Whisp, you know I appreciate everything you do....
You truly have the knack for turning a cloudy day into something memorable and meaningful....

My birthday involved a 4-hour drive home from Indianastan (which usually takes under an hour), flooded roads, detours, some time spent in a grocery store's meat freezer because of the threat of a tornado, a massive power outage, a trip to Wal-Mart for flashlights, a second power outage, and a drippy refrigerator. Not the best of birthdays....

But made much better by the kindness and consideration of the people here. Thank you all again, and please know that you will all be in my thoughts. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know so many amazing and wonderful people....
