As a human race are poeples minds always in the gutter, is everything subliminal these days? are there any down to earth poeple left, ones with humility and tender heartedness?

Many People's minds are not in the gutter.

the human mind categorizes as it learns

and the englsh language ,for one, is very complex

so, the average american human adult has two categories (for instance) for the word 'but'

one is in body parts, and one is as an exception word



or two categories for the word 'great'

one is as a symbol of POSITIVE merit or character
and one is merely a symbol of MEASURE of impact (positive or negative)



I think its natural for the mind to refer to more than one category before it finds just the right application of a word,,,,,
