I wrote about a piano for Mom
For Dad it is not so simple Simple for him is foreign to me And cars still remain a mystery Why does the car behave for Dad? It was always a different animal when Dad turned the key And if there was a solution, it made no sense to me. Dad could fix anything, although I learned from Mom It is not always a good idea to hold a match to the gas Or Poor lighter fluid directly on the flame... Dad always reminded me of the cowboy In the Wild, Wild, West All business, dressed sharp for the Parent, teacher conference-he was the only one Who wore cologne If the piano is my Mother's piece, Then The rocking chair is my Dad's At the end of a long day He snored not so softly, interrupting T.V. An unappreciated Genius Dad stayed the course And when I see an old rocker I check the price, As if the original could be replaced! |

Did you want to live on a train as badly as I wanted to live on a train? That would have been so cool. |

I have always wanted a caboose, in the back yard as a retreat.

Nice write goldenhinde! Anything about a Dad brings back all my great memories of those I spent with mine untill he passed in 1996. I always liked The Rifleman show where the Dad was raising his boy up to be honest & teaching him to do the right thing

This opens the conversation of "Are there any real heroes on TV anymore?"
