When i try to do instant message it does not pop up. What should i do?

restart your computer / uninstall / renstall IM your useing just a idea

Can you explain more what you mean by "trying to do an instant message"? Is someone sending you an IM request and you are trying to respond, or are you initiating an IM request and the other user is not answering?
