I'm trying to find out, because a friend of mine is half british and half japanese (though she looks mainly japanese). She is a lesbian, but wants to move back to Japan. She told me she's too scared to move back there, because her native country will probably shun her, and force her to marry a man. She can't stop crying about it. I wish there was more I could say to comfort her. I'm trying my best. Of course, I'll miss her terribly if she finally moves back there. I hate seeing her this upset/heartbroken. She misses her older sister who lives in Japan, so she's pretty desperate to see her. I just need advice for her, on how maybe she can have the lesbian relationship she wants, without her feeling like her native country will bully her just for being her ;(

She shuld just try 2 comport herself while she is there

I went to Tokyo a few months ago and they have a pretty big gay scene. I don't know about other parts of Japan though.

Comfort herself? I guess. Easier said than done, though, when you just want to be accepted.
