They say the new age is here.

What is your best advice for living?

My best advice:

Don't 'believe' anything.

In that case, I won't believe anything in the OP.

do no harm, or at the least harm possible

when you meet someone, pass someone on the road, remember, you have no idea what the person you see has been through. it may have been great tragedy, struggle, war, illness, poverty, victimization so tread softly, show some respect

don't act like an A-hole

remembr no one wants to hear your stuff

and any indignity or rudeness you show to others will be passed back to you one way or another

create postive energy and love in all ways.

There. How's that Jeanne?

Don't let the imaginary people in your head keep you from loving the real ones right in front of you.

Bread is bad for the gut, as is fibre, despite what dr's may tell you.

Always carry spare money and your mobile, incase of emergency (Yeah the 'Break Glass' one got old). lol.

Never give up faith that there are good people out there. You never know who is watching you. You may just find not everyone is a cynic. drinker

Always carry your sense of humor with you. It even helps in the most awkward situation's.

If you end up getting kicked out of your accommodation, and can't yet get another place to live (meaning when not even your own family can spare you a bed), pitch a tent, and live the camping lifestyle.

If your heating bills are always rising, lessens the usage. Use hot water bottles, and wireless heaters instead.

It doesn't matter what anyone else's opinion is of you. As long as you like yourself.

Can't find your hair straightener? Switch your clothes iron on, seperate your hair into sections, and cover sections of your hair with greaseproof paper. With your iron on the lowest setting, put a section of your hair onto the ironing board, and iron over the greaseproof paper. Someone will have to do the back for you. This tip is rather nuts is it not? laugh

Expect the worst, hope for the best, and settle for whatever comes along.

If your luck gives you the opportunity to throttle a politican, do it.

Be nice to the people you meet on the way up the ladder, because you'll meet the same ones on the way down.

The most faithful person you'll ever meet in life is your dog.

Let go of judgment of yourself and others.

What might your life be like if you stopped beating yourself into submission with nonstop judgment? How might others relax and flourish if you created a space of no judgment for them?

Cue music....what a wonderful world it would be...

Wait a minute here... Just what's so "new" about this age? Seems like the same old cr@p that's been going on for centuries, just with a few more bells and whistles.

We won't truly be in a "new age" until we've gotten away from the concept of the wheel.

{Oh, and if I'm required to come up with some little saying, I'll go with this: There is no such thing as good karma, but watch out for bad karma, that stuff works!!!}

Love God, remember he is not human and has no human limitations,,,,,

remember no one is perfect

practice forgiveness and empathy because karma is a *****

remember we are all interconnected,

remember each individual counts but only because there is a group for them to count IN, and so the group counts too,,,

remember the world has to be shared and isn't required to cater to your every desire and wish,,,,

remember parenting comes with no manual, there are probably as many imperfect parents as there are imperfect kids

remember we are ALL imperfect

remember every action in life, from the moment we are born , is a choice, some much tougher than others

remember people are complex, and not simply defined by any one choice, mistake, action, or quote from their life,, not even from any one hundred,,,,,

remember elders have lived longer for a reason and are valuable resources of information to be respected ,,,,

remember that resources, networks, and education are the most valuable commodities

remember that wealth is not the same as income,, even the poor have income and the indebted have income,,, but the wealthy have RESOURCES and FREEDOM,,,,

remember no one is totally self made, we are all the product of the experiences we encountered just as much those we chose, from our education to our family interactions to the lucky moments when someone thought we were worth giving an opportunity to ahead of any others

practice gratitude instead of expectation,,,,

Slow down, slow down and slow down.

Life is not about how many miles you tread. It's about how many times you stopped to look at the flowers.

Spend more time with your family.

Say "thank you" and "please" more often.

Make your child "earn" their rewards.

More hugs, more smiles and more kisses
