Topic: movie casting mishaps and triumphs | |
---|---|
GOOD: Hopkins in "Silence of the Lambs" An underrated Good is Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter. |
Good:
Cathy Bates "Misery" Hugh Jackman as "Wolverine" Bad: Jane Fonda as Mrs. Reagan (and no, I don't know how good of an actress she is, I won't watch her movies, my own private boycott) |
Good - Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight
Bad - Christian Bale as Batman, he's not George Clooney bad, but I felt like I was watching a guy doing a Clint Eastwood impersonation. |
Great: Jack Nicholson as the joker in Batman. He stole the show.

good: marge gunderson, in fargo
bad (really bad): keanu reeves, in bram stoker’s dracula. (come to think of it, any of his roles, really) |
Worst- Kane Hodder as Ed Gein in Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield. Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates in the Psycho remake. Kevin Costner as Robin Hood. |

bad (really bad): keanu reeves, in bram stoker’s dracula. (come to think of it, any of his roles, really) I think Reeves gets an unfair bad rap, he's great in the Bill And Ted movies, brilliant in River's Edge, and more recently in Henry's Crime. Other great Reeves performances- Parenthood, My Own Private Idaho, Permanent Record, I Love You To Death. |

bad: johnny knoxville in, the ringer. (what were the farrelly's thinking?)
good: noomi rapace, the girl with the dragon tattoo (swedish version) |

Bad: Jack Black in King Kong. I kept wanting him to break out in a Tenacious D song.
Good: Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects. |
