I have been reading this thread. And Lulu I am glad that you found the little cutie. And I wish I knew how to keep them cool. Maybe if you do not pay for your water you can put them into your bathroom and turn your shower on cold with a fan.

AWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEE Glad you found your kitten lu...I think ot sounds like you are keeping the kittes cool enough...I wouldnt bath the newborn anyway in case it catches a cold with the fan blowing on it....I think they are ok with the set up you have doll!!!!!!!!!!

um...i've pointedly ignored mister chris throughout this thread. but yes, i was concerned. however, after searching for over an hour in over a hundred degree heat...i decided to give it a rest.
gah, apparently another kitten has emerged. i'm off to see. |

going to try...they are awfully small, so i'm not putting too much hope out there. just over half the size of the last ones she had. |

wipe the cats down with a damp wash cloth but not too much or they could get pneumonia....Never leave the mom alone with kittens....especially if she doesnt favour them. Wet down mom too with a wet face cloth....don't get too close to the kittens when mom is there or she may kill them. Leave her food dish and her water dish near, with icecubes in to keep it cool. Oooh and ahhhhhh over the incredible birth of kittens!!!

They may be tiny, but let me tell you that they could be strong!
A cat my dad rescued had kittens and she was basically starving so they were soo malnourished and sickly..we had to raise those kittens by hand but they all made it :) I hope yours do well, I wish you the best of luck! |
