Knoxman, regarding Pearl Harbor, I'd refer you to:
http://www.prisonplanet.com/pearl_harbor_mother_of_all_conspiracies.htm Regarding Nuking civilian cities in Japan - It WAS'NT done to hasten the end of war with Japan; It was a message to Russia. |
CBX..you are just too much....Russia was not even a "super power" at the time...in fact they were being attacked and devestated by the german army at the time...If I remember correctly Russians lost more soldiers and civilians in the war then any other country...so exactly what "message" and why would we send it to Russians who were getting the sh&t kicked out of them?
serchin - Toward the end of the war, Russia and the U.S. were racing each other to get to nazi secret technologies that would help whoever take over the world. Reagan's S.D.I. and Eastlund's
H.A.A.R.P. project are based on such technologies. There are WORSE weapons than nukes - believe it or not. |

cbx1300,
When providing proof, is there any way that you could provide something just a bit more substantial than a website that specializes in wild conspiracy theories? We've all heard of Alex Jones, and that's not really a positive. Better luck next time. |

Knoxman, it started way before the Pearl Harbor ignored warnings; In 1897, Teddy Roosevelt wrote to a friend: "In strict confidence... I should welcome almost any war, for I think this country needs one." - The internal frontier was recently declared closed by the census bureau; The govt. had to look elswhere to plunder. The Perry expedition used warships to force Japan's ports open to us. |

of course my views are marginalized around here...but I'll throw this into
the mix about US vs Russia arms race at the end of WW2 http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/mjd1.html keep at it cbx ....you are now labeled a kook & conspiracy theorist..your days are numbered...ask me... |

When we nuked Japan redwine the war in Europe was over! We were getting ready to send thousands of troops from there to the Japanese invasion force!
If we would have had a nuke before the war in Europe was over we would undoubtably used it on Hitler!!!
a movie called white lightning black rain. filmed as a documentary styled movie about the survivors of the nukes. one of the survivors was so close that she was the only one that lived for blocks.
You are wrong too on the fact that Russia was raceing towards invadeing the Japanese main land Red wine. They were indeed, as CBX has said, and that was one of the major reasons for Nukeing them when they did.

Praise from Ceaser! - Thanks, Davinci! (for that, you get a capital "D".) - I've been an anti-war activist since 10yrs. old - I'm well used to the labels, marginalisation and ridicule.
'Longtime fan of Nexus! - |

Hey, Davinci - What do you make of the "Red Symphony" files?
'Can't quite decide if they're legit. |
If the war was "over" and the nuke was some "message' to Russia..then Why did Russia declare war against Japan and invade Manchuria two days AFTER(Aug8, 1945) the first Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima????
Because at that point, the race for control of Asia was on.
Here's a secret: W.W.2 never ended.
It wasnt the only reason, but it did hasten the use and rate at which it was done. If they hadnt surrendered we had planned on dropping several more. Perhaps multiple drops at the same time!
cbx....have to admit I havent read about red symphony but I'll check it
out thanks... have always loved nexus....good stuff...revisionist history will be a hot topic in the future I think...waking up from the deep propaganda sleep.... they didnt have to use the atomic bomb... carpet bombing with resulting firestorms would have accomplished the same thing...but not as "sexy" as the big bomb...I admired Truman as president until I learned more about the politics behind the use of the bomb...disgrace.... |

A good point to remember is in the Nixon memoirs.
They were inches from using nukes in Vietnam. The only thing that stopped them was they were afraid the protesters outside the Whitehouse fence may not want to stay outside the fence. |
