what to do when your other half doesnt help with bills? Don't feed them or comfort them, they're freeloaders. |

What Hippie said. They are using you pure and simple. Either sit down and talk to them and lay down some rules and make them help out, or they need to go. It is not working if only one does ALL the work and the other leeches.
That is a parasite. |

what to do when your other half doesnt help with bills? Same as with a room-mate that stops paying their share of the rent; rid yourself of them. |

what to do when your other half doesnt help with bills? If there is no valid reason, like Traumer said, rid yourself of them...ASAP... |

If he is laid off or on disability he may have a legal excuse for not have any money to help out on bills. Otherwise, he maybe a free loader and rid yourself of that if you are not married. If you are married, I guess you are stuck with him.

I would suggest that you don't have the best communication if you are living together and not openly discussing finances.
If you are openly discussing finances and have a system figured out that he is not keeping his end of, then you may just be dealing with someone who is not good with financial commitments. Either way, I think it would be a good idea to communicate with him about your financial concerns. When it comes to financial problems, putting it off can only make it worse |
