like to meet. if you had one chance to meet one musician or band and hang out doing regular stuff, who would it be? think back and be SURE. You have 1 chance, uno, ein ..... Well, we didn't just hang out doing regular everyday stuff, but I have had the honor of meeting one of my favorite musicians, talking songwriting with him, and on one occasion, sharing the stage with him for a song. Time from our first face-to-face meeting until the time he let me sing backup for him at a small-venue show: More than 20 years. I still smile when I think about it. And he's coming to play in my town again next month. His name? Rik Emmett, former guitarist/vocalist for the Canadian rock group Triumph, now solo artist. He's quite talented. |
