Night
The cool shade Of the night Masks our movements Dance in twilight Our bodies intertwine Passion is great Our love flows Coolness of night Dread the dawn The shade flees We break away Done our nightly deed |

Two ships
Like two ships Passing in the night We hear no whispers We saw no light Do you not see My ship of light Or are the stars Burning so bright I toss you rope You refuse offhand You hate so much You’d rather hit land My ship sails on Not dreary like yours All because you are afraid Of two ships in the night |

Rainbow
Eat the colors Till they’re dead No need to remember No time for dread Death of a rainbow Not to live again So much loss When it’s a friend Rainbows are born anew Friends from out of the blue The colors are packed With happiness for you |

Our breath mingles
Silently our breath mingles Silence into the night Our exhale is steamy Soaked with our plight Two hearts are we Beating as one The sound of a parent And the one is done Gaze out the window Follow his retreat Know you’ll love him Next time you meet |

I read thru them all and loved each of them. You are a true poet! |

Thanks terri and alookat, I appreciate it.
================================================================ Passion The gentle caress Of his fingertips Over your body Outlining your curves Make you catch Your breath’s intake Fiery passions ignite Beneath your skin You make way For his touch The magic builds The dam bursts You lay there Spent and exhausted Yet the passion remains To kiss lips and stroke their hair It seems it will never end This passion of ours But with our love Who wants it to |

Nightmares
You feel them grab your feet To pull you into the brush They’re going to make you ashes You will turn to dust You bolt upright and scream Then realize tis but a dream Your partner sits and hugs you Asks you if it was the dream You apologize profusely For disturbing her sleep It is something you’ll never vanquish Something you don’t want to keep You’re lucky to have a woman That loves you so Most of them look upon you As damaged goods |

With you
Whenever I feel down I think of amazing you And imagine your kisses Sweet and savory as new dew We don’t speak words No sounds cross our lips The way you look at me Makes my heart flip With you is like A breath of warm fresh air I hope the look in our eyes Make others tread in beware When I’m with you I pray this love will last I want to go into the future Not stay in the past Be patient my sweet Our time will come in the sun So let us try new exploits Let us have some fun |

Thank you wildflower.
-------------------------------------------------------------- Dreams I lay here all night Beside you feeling like I’m dreaming Watching your silhouette Breathing so gently I think it’s a dream Having you beside me You’re all I could ever want And yet you picked me I don’t want to move about Send ripples through the dream I want to lay here peacefully Cloaked in the mist of dreams The mist of dreams swirl Making shadows of the moon This will only be a dream For a short time soon |

Ocean
You are my ocean Cool waves lap my shore Making things good How I thirst for more Of you, my ocean breeze I could drink you up Fulfill my thirst Pour in my cup Oh my ocean wave Cool kisses and hugs Transcend my thirst With kisses and hugs |

The Price Paid
I don’t think you realize What you mean to me Our every second is precious Can you see I’m not interested in A one-night stand I need you for a wife To take my hand For ever how long it lasts Beside you I will walk tall Some love, no matter how temporary Is better than no love at all It is my fervent hope We will last many years And when we end I will Gladly pay in tears Having known you and loved you Is the delight of my life I dream of the day You will be my wife |

Love 2
If love is a razor That rips you to shreds Why do we fall in love Way over our heads Is it because of Beauty so thin We did not see The person within I’ve run across those types Many times in life Till I learned to look within And found one as a wife Is it possible to feel No meeting yet this way I say so I feel it today She is a delight From head to toe So I can say with certainty I love you Jo |

Probably my worst, but some poem has to have that distinction:
============================================================= Hand You have gone and Given me your hand Let me reflect So I understand You mean this heart flutter In my chest Proves you’re the one You’re the best I brush your lips Sweet honey to a bee Reserve them always Just for me I take your hand Firmly in mine We’ll be together For a long time |

Hunger
Do you feel the hunger I have for you Pressing our lips together Passionate kisses deep and true You cannot quench the hunger Of man starving for your lips Stand then, and kiss back Put him in some bliss As stars revolve around so high You stand there kissing and bye and bye You finally stop and Give a deep sigh But the hunger is still there It won’t go away So please let me Kiss you more today |
