Topic: Blender or food processor? | |

I need to buy one ,but not sure which one will be more useful.
Which do you prefer and what Brand do you like best? |

Neither I just chop by hand!

Chopping I do easily by hand too, but for other things I wonder what gives you more bang for the buck.

Both. But buy a name brand otherwise you'll be sorry.

Isn't a blender just for juicing or something?
If I bought, it would be a Hamilton-Beach processor. I am under the impression processors are more versatile. |

We do make a lot of smoothies so I am thinking a blender is best for that, but for making bread crumbs and things like that do you need the FB? |

Have you checked out the Cuisinart Smart Stick? That's what I have, and for small amounts of stuff it's great. It's a food processor/immersion blender/hand mixer. All around a great gadget.

So does it work good for smoothies and crushing ice? I have not prepared smoothes in it. It does work great on sauces. It does a very good job on ice. |

It all depends what you want to do. Blenders are basically good for making smoothies and purees and etc.
If you want slicing and dicing, then you need to go to a food processor with the blades. I pretty much have one of everything... I'm a kitchen gadget nut. |

Just bought an awseome set of knives at Costco. What is your fav, kitchen gadget? |
