Can you fall in love with someone without meeting face-to-face? Or do you have to meet them to drive the final nails in your heart? I like a lot of the women on here (word is I'm a slut) and sometimes wish they lived near. They are my age to youngsters (40s), they all seem so nice. Maybe I'll get lucky in a face-to-face and mutual lightning will strike? So what about you, do you need to meet face-to-face?

I think you can fall in love with what you have perceived them to be , but for it to be real and not a fantasy you need to be with them day to day and in person before love can be real.

I didn't think of it that way, you're right. We build a mental image in our mind that is "perfect" to us, and inevitably become disappointed with reality because they can't match what we built them up to be. Interesting.

I don't see why not...Seems like you can pretty much fall in love with one person one day and an entirely different one the next. Of course that's assuming love exists and isn't simply a mental condition.

Now if you think its just fantasy then wake up and make that fantasy a reality. Do not expect anything from her. When you see each other it may be easy to accept who she really was.

at the time, it feels like love, looks like love, so it must be love. then you meet and you will know if you were right. or wrong. so enjoy it, whatever it is. and hope it's real. but yes, you do have to meet to know.

I am infatuated with a man before I meet inperson. I do not meet any man inperson if I do not "click" with him online first. I am not out to just meetup with any Old man.

I believe so...sometimes mental can be very strong.
