The parrell universe theory made me reconsider heaven and hell.
I think there we go to heaven or hell. |

I believe those who reject Christ suffer until judgement day, when I also believe there is no longer a hell,,,,

I believe. In this world we can find heaven through contentment and peacefulness, while hell the exact opposite of heaven. Spiritually i believe in heaven and hell, i believe that there is eternal reward and eternal punishment.

I believe those who reject Christ suffer until judgement day, when I also believe there is no longer a hell,,,, Interesting... probably why most Biblical scholars believe that if Christ came back today he would not recognize the religion named after him. |

It's interesting if we go all the way back to the beginning.
One of the 'names' for God is translated into "He Causes to Become". So then what did God cause to become? Earth, governed by humans under His authority. His original purpose was an Earth and for humans to reside upon it. Now we all know that what God purposes will come true. Not in our time frame, but in His. I believe that we were created to live eternally on earth. But Satan cast doubts on God's authority and leadership when he asked Eve if she really should obey the simple command not to eat of the fruit. We've spent all this time figuring out the answer to this question. God doesn't want mindless robots, he wants free thinking individuals who obey and worship him with full knowledge. So we gotta figure out that it's in our best interest to serve Him. Yes, as most people in this thread have observed, you don't go to heaven or hell when you die...these are man made concepts that are from other religions. You go 'to sleep', as Jesus so simply put it when describing the people that he resurrected, such as Lazarus and the young girl. We will 'wake up' when this period of questioning is over, and those who still refuse to acknowledge the truth and divinity of God will be banished to eternal 'nothingness', and those who side with God will be residents forever on an Eden-like earth. Leastaways this is the way I see things from my studies. *wink* |

Not exactly. That's all hell basically is, it's the grave. A holding place for the dead. Revelation 20:13 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Heaven, Earth, and Hell are all temporary as of now. They were all created for their own purpose. Heaven is for God and his angels Earth/Eden is for us, man and woman Hell holding place for Satan Come the end of time God creates a new Heaven and Earth, after the evil and corruption has been destroyed and or thrown into the lake of fire. Isaiah 65:17 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. And the destruction of Hell - Revelation 20:14 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And yes the people that have "died" are basically sleeping, but nevertheless are dead. That's why the dead in Christ shall rise first. |

Do I believe?
Absolutely. My understanding of Hell is to be separated from Christ. Honestly, sometimes the relationship that I have with him is the ONLY thing that keeps me sane, so I can't think of any greater punishment. Who would want to be separated from the one who bring peace, who gives joy, who provides protection and loves unconditionally? |
