All That I Am

Your soul
is like the morning
unfolding
into a magically painted picture of the sky
pouring sunshine
upon the night’s shadows
as the wind
caresses
a glistening waterfall
sending a mist of cool perfection upwards
while the rushing waters
serenade
the world with a beautiful simplicity

The way you move
the way you love
is like lush green leaves
swaying
to the motion of the shimmering water
as if Mother Nature’s kisses
were butterflies
celebrating
life
hope
passion
and desire

I shiver
as you touch me
it is as if you’re exploring my soul
searching
for that part of me that is yours forever
that part of me that will never let you go
the part of me that you created
by giving my life reasons to believe in love
and that part of me
is all that I am

Whenever I read your poems Mig, first I do that fabulous'sigh' and then straight away it takes me to the poetry of Neruda...Love love love it...

Ok so now my head is swelling; I seriouosly thought I was not much of a poet but to be compared to Pablo Neruda. Wow. Yeah. That's a compliment I will truly cherish. Thanks Ainjel
