I bet there are TONS of things to do in Chicago? Which side do you want to avoid? I was told to avoid south side Chicago
Chicago is known to be one of the most, if not THE most segregated cities. There are some diverse areas like Hyde Park and Evanston among a few. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and yea there are some tough areas, but there is alot of culture there as well. |

I absolutely love Millennium Park and I am usually there at least once a week. That big silver bean thing fascinates me, and I must have taken 500 pictures of it.

Angel, well in the city they tend to say to avoid the southside of anything (Southside Bronx, brooklyn, etc) That's where most minorities are.
I'd probably feel right at home. If I wanted to chose a place to live outside the city, next door to downtown where my career would be..any recommendations..AFFORDABLE nice, clean, quiet places |

I'm about to google Millenium Park

Bored -- Just south of Millennium Park, on Michigan Avenue, there is a little shaded area next to the art museum -- in the shaded area, they have a sculpture by Alexander Calder, called "Flying Dragon" -- it's red and very interesting (to me, anyway) -- I have a bunch of pictures of that one too!

You'd probably be looking at the north west suburbs, for affordable, quiet etc. Nothing near downtown or near north is affordable unless you're willing to spend about a million dollars on a friggin studio condo
Some southern suburbs are nice too. |

well really any where in the city is going to come with a higher price..
but go about a half hour out side the city and theres some cheap stuff chicago is segregated as all hell we have a polish neighborhood, an italian one, a bunch of middle eastern neighborhoods an irish one, course we got a china town but its mostly koreans who live mexican neighborhoods rican neighborhoods (check out the big flags on division they're pretty cool) the south side is a big mesh of people really and its not all bad course every city has some bad spots but meh its not like the south side is just one big gehto. theres some advantages to the segregated neighborhoods and its mostly the little local places to eat they all have but theres some cool art to see around them too lots of little galleries and stuff. |

yeah angel I'll be broke unless I save specifically for a location. I can't stand places that cost an arm and a leg

angel and autonomous,
where is somewhere I can live that his very affordable but not too far away from downtown? I can't imagine driving 1 1/2 to work every day |
|

Imagine it, dream it, live it, love it, cause that's prolly gonna be the case.
I'll see what I can find out for you. |

This is mystifying...as is every other particle in the universe that refuses to behave in nothing but a random manner!
Does anyone know where Lex has gone? Does anyone know why Lex has left? Does anyone know Lex? |
