Topic: Why do i feel like a nerve wreck in front of women? | |
---|---|
I don't know how, but women who are genuinely interested in me are repelled by my stupid nervousness. I cant talk to a stranger in public because i feel conscious about the fact that many people are looking at us. Add to that, I am kinda expressive which makes it obvious for other people that i am hitting on a woman. Once, i befriend a woman, it is always a smooth journey of friendship and sometimes even true love (although it's been 2 years of real love). The women that i was in love with often tell me that you are nothing like what i imagined you to be by your first impression (Referring to the nervousness part). What do i do? I have been alone for a long time now!

Maybe your being too hard on yourself.. Focus more on breaking the ice and the basics. If she doesn't like you for being you then she is not for you.

Yeah.. I don't know how though. Maybe meeting more lady friends and "mingling" face 2 face might help breakdown this terrible gap with the opposite gender.

What is it about being alone that you don't like?

I have a male friend with a very similar problem. In fact, I could have mistaken you for being him by what you typed just now. I wouldn't worry about what others were thinking of the person I was meeting. What matters to YOU more? A strong relationship? Or people judging you? Is it honestly worth the worry of what a bunch of strangers might think? You could end up meeting such an awesome person, and so why let the nerves decide? Let your palms sweat because they won't stand a fighting chance :)

The short answer is; you're trying too hard. You're investing too much emotionally. These women have something you want desperately and you're nervous about screwing up and them not giving it to you.
There are valid reasons that a man should fear talking with a woman, but they don't mean much in today's modern world. So, I won't get into them. My advice to you is to decide to get over this now and start going out and talking to as many women as possible as often as possible. Commit yourself to speaking with 100 women you've never met. go to the loudest, most crowded places because that's where the most women are. Don't know what to say? How about "hi, you are too cute. I have to meet you. I'm Mrfreewill2012. What's your name?" Then offer to shake her hand. After that ask her an open ended question. At first all you want is a 30 second conversation. You're not trying to get laid. You're not trying to get her phone number. In fact, don't have any agenda other than just talking to her. You can even tell her that talking to women makes you nervous and you're trying to get over it. Keep a dairy of your progress and note what went well and what didn't. After the first ten, you'll know what to say. After about 30, they may start giving you phone numbers. But, they likely won't mean much yet. After 50 or so you'll be seeing the ones that are interested and the ones that aren't. By the end you'll be able to do things you never dreamed of. It's almost like magic. Edit: I forgot to mention, the first two or three you talk to each night don't really count because you have to get warmed up. Once you get your energy level right amazing things start happening. |

Your putting her up on a pedestal, that can make a woman feel uncomfortable.

Smoke some weed, it always helps me when I get nervous.

Smoke some weed, it always helps me when I get nervous. This. If that doesn't work experiment with different downers, except they're all addictive... so maybe just follow the "don't get so emotionally involved" angle. |

It sounds to me like you just need a little perspective.
That unapproachable hottie? She’s not a Goddess...just a warm blooded human female. It gets worse...she’s not so different from you. She has little hairs in her nose and wax in her ears just like every other human being on earth. The only reason she doesn't look like Sasquatch in a bikini is because she shaves, waxes or otherwise tortures hairs from their follicles just like every other smooth legged woman must. I’m risking the wrath of my own kind by imparting this little secret to you, but very few of us actually bite. |
