Never dated anything other than white women, but I have always wondered what a different flavour would be like.

Personally I like black women. I tend to look more for certain intellects, personalities, and individualism. Which come in all color.

I was in high school during the middle to late 1960's. The race strife of those days went deep in both races. The image burned into my mind is that black Americans did not like or trust caucasian Americans.

Yes, it's 40 years later but I haven't seen either group make a concerted effort to reach out to the other. Could my mental image be incorrect? It could be: but there isn't much evidence to convince me otherwise.

Because of this (possible incorrect image on my part) I hesitate to seek out a black American woman because I still wonder if that distrust is still present.

Of coarse, as long as we share similar interest. And no one is hung up about white and black.

and there are lots of black women who love dating white men...along with other races as well...its always good to venture out and learn about other cultures. i've always dated out of my race and didn't date someone of my own race until my early twenties...good luck
