How will you answer if your 15 year old daughter told you this?"mom when you find the right man,to become your husband please give me the chance to be a complete person by having a father and a mother as my family, and let me feel the feeling of having a father in a family....If you were me,what will you tell her?

i would tell her: sure you are the first of my mind and hopefully the man who will love me will love me with the once i love and we need to be positive a bout it

I'd tell her that family is not defined by gender roles. It's who chooses to love you and who is there to support you no matter what. I'd ask her why she feels she is missing something and then keep dialoguing from there. Good luck with those crazy teenage years! |

Kids feel a void when a parent is missing. When they see other kids who have both parents in their lives it hurts. My son's father hasn't seen him in almost 8 months.
I would talk to your daughter and tell her that not all families have 2 parents and that while you also would like a good man in your lives, for now you and her are all the family you both need at the moment. Just keep the lines of communication open because teenagers are very up and down about things esp.daughters. |

i have been my sons mother and father since and i know my son loves me for taking care of him but yes i do think every child needs both parents cause there are some things not a mother can do and some things a father cant do |
