Painted on faces, hollow smiles
Tasteless words and broken promises
The deaf ear hears nothing........



When Fools Rule

"When in the course of human events...."
Can they complete these words?
"We the people" pay their wage
but greed controls these turds

They thrive on having power
which they use to take our rights
and loot the lands of others
but they've never been to fight

The pen and tongue their weapons
and judges they control
Lawyers to confound the words
The people pay the toll

They stand on the graves of children
To take away our guns
Yet bomb an entire village
and say it must be done

What happened to America
the great "land of the free"
the land of opportunity
now lost to corporate greed

Our veterans are homeless
Our people have no jobs
When the people rise in protest
The media calls them mobs

We have no right of privacy
or safety in our homes
our information public
our skies now filled with drones

Our leaders mired in scandal
the economy is shot
Corporations prosper
The people... they do not!

I spilled my blood in battle
to make our nation free
to see what it has now become
truly saddens me

Our education useless
Our industry has failed
Our jobs have all been outsourced
Our children fill our jails

So who are you and what's your stand
Our country is in need
Will you stand with our Republic
or enslaved to corporate greed?

It's time to take our country back
from those who stole her pride
and sold us out for power
enjoying their free ride!
