Historically men were taught not to show their feelings. However is that it was ok for them to so the emotion called anger. As for me, there are a few things that will get me teary eyed.

Its not just men that don't cry some women don't either. I don't cry. Its not because I was raised not to. I just believe crying makes you weak and vunerable and I want to stay strong. Plus its just a waste of tears. Crying doesn't solve anything. It will only make you feel worse.

Men cry, sometimes to much. And most all whine.
Sometimes it's warranted sometimes it's not. Op, it might just be your age but even when I was your age I had seen many men cry. And imo they have the same right to cry as women. If you're hoping they cry because they miss you ect... maybe they just don't or wait until you're not around to see. I sure as heck have never enjoyed seeing someone crying because they were hurting... only happy tears. Sly |

Lots of men cry, we just manage to hide it well and put on a brave face. I lost my Mum nearly 20 years ago now and at certain times of the year or events where other grandparents are beaming with pride, I shed a tear or two. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.

its just boz he dnt want others to come to knw that he is weak nd he has emotions In my case, I choose when and where to cry. Being that my times of grief are very personal, I reserve my crying for times when I am alone or with a close family member. When my late wife was alive, I cried in her presence when another family member perished. During the last year, I have cried on my daughter's shoulder when sharing with her my sorrow about something very personal, something that she needed to know about. |

Give me one good reason why a man should cry in public. she didn't say in public but rather why not cry in front of your loved ones or friends and family if youve been hurt? |

I do not think it has much or anything to do with ego or anything like that..the various circumstances, ordeals men go through putting two and two,to keep family together, having to face and overcome terrible obstacles,etc....are some reasons men seem to be kind of immune to crying! But that does,nt mean men at times don't shed tears...personally,i have been through real painful periods that hurt way deep down, that took me days to get by,that made me kinda wailed somehow, but i did'nt cry, not because i did'nt want to,the tears did'nt just flow...all the same we all have tears moving emotions. wow, youre a strong man hmm, same here, ive been through a lot of pains too, even now,the hurt never stop, but am kindda immuned to it,there was times i cried every night before sleep and i didnt talk to anyone,i locked myself in the room, but year after year,i stopped crying for the same issue rather i chose to fight to get over it,so wish me luck,am stil in the progress |
