Thank you, Kik. Yes, it's for my eyes. This is a follow up to the vitrectomy with retina reattachment surgery that I underwent back in July.
That's pretty serious stuff pard Has it improved your eyesight ? Or is that what the follow up is going to do ? Hi Baby !

That's pretty serious stuff pard Has it improved your eyesight ? Or is that what the follow up is going to do ? That's the idea. Back in July, my opthamologist had to drain the vitreous gel from my right eye, then fill the eye with oil. As the oil dissolves, my vision improved a little. Unfortunately, the vitrectomy can cause a cataract. The follow up surgery is to remove the oil, then insert a fluid that is similar to what the eye naturally generates. A month after this is done, I can schedule cataract surgery. |

Topher, best of luck on the surgery! I can't imagine what all that is like. What day are you having it done? Thanks Via. I'm having it done on Wednesday, April 10th. It's not so bad. I'll be concious the entire time, but the anesthesiologist will pump me so full of anesthesia that I won't feel a thing. The laser treatments I used to undergo for my retinopathy actually hurt more than the needles they'll be sticking in my eye. |
