The king of exercises in my opinion. To do a proper squat to get those great thighs and tight butt(for men especially) you have to stick your butt out and keep ur back straight. Make sure you go until top upper part of ur thigh(your quad) is parallel to the floor then squeeze ur butt cheecks together and push ur hips forward while coming up. Do 10 reps of 2 sets 2-3 times a week for two weeks then add a set each week. When you finally get to 10 sets think about adding weight. Something light. The best legs I have seen have been made from low resistance yet a moderate intensity. If u want to know more hit me up.
