A friend and I were talking at work about overly graphic movies and books. As women, we don't actually need to see sex. It is so much more romantic when they leave it up to our imagination!

I guess that would include animated chacters as well!

I don't mind if it has nudity or sex, it has to have a good plot though. Look at Ninja Scroll, LOTS of nudity and sex, but the plot is amazing. Then again you have Spaceship Agga Ruter, which is all sex, no plot. Kinda lame.

alex i am the same way.i have a very vivid imagination and don't need to read,watch or be entertained by gratutious sex scenes.

Ok, enough movies/nudity lol, what about favorite anime series?
I'd say Bleach.

I think that as women, we have simply learned to accept that most films including some anime there will be some nudity. To put things in perspective is that most nudity in films, TV, and anime is almost always about women. Rarely does it does it show male nudity. If it is male nudity, then it is usually the buttocks. I am not promoting male nudity nor do I think that nudity should be treated as a taboo. I simply do not think it is always necessary.

Now, that I have said that. I also think there is any right or wrong answer. It is simply about a person’s own personal comfort zone. Unfortunately, the media and entertainment world thinks sex sells, so they advertise it on overload. This sometimes becomes a little to much for a person such as myself. Since I know that it is my preference, I do try to stay away from Movies and Anime that focus on nudity.

favorite series is a tough one.


I love Robotech because of the characters & it doesn't paint wars black and white.

I love escaflowne (the series) because it is an beautiful love story.

Bubblecrisis (Tokyo 2040) because girls kick a$$ and the great character designs.

Gundamwing because of the story line, great characters, and american voice acting. Usually, I prefer subtitles, but I actually prefer the american dubbed for Gundamwing.

Ooooh yeah. I love me some Vampire Hunter D!

Mines right now is bleach..man I spent like over 100 bux on bleach stuff at a convention...well worth it though...for an all time favorite, I'd have to say Hellsing though. The ultimate OVA's are a nice addition.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Dragon Ball.

HCIT, I simply never got into dragon ball like everyone else. It was the character design. I never really liked it. In addition, I tend to go for mecha, themes on war, vampires and so forth.

well im glad to see that nobody said Naruto was their favourite... gahh, I dont understand the hype with that show. I think its highly overrated.
