      Keepin Tabs

It comes out more when he’s had too much to drink. Old memories of his raisin between slides and tweaks. He said, I’m not a good guy cuz where I come from this fella right here, All the bad I’ve done... See, the town where I lived is not like this. You fight for your pride bustin doubled fists. Drink til you can’t. Work’s plenty rough. I am who I am Mum raised me tough. Your place right here, simple to see, complacent is raised. Naive's easy, least wise to me. I’m not puttin you down. Don’t take me wrong. Just a disclaimer for the words of this song. His spin is deliberate bona fide, true. It’s the drinkin tonight that’s brought out the blue. Shot glasses filled a toast is in hand while the liquor tonight remembers this man... and the whiskey, tonight remembers this man. SadieLu©2013 |

This made me think of someone I will always love...His beautiful heart saturated to ease the pain of an abusive childhood, one that left him too broken to face the harsh winter wind...

My Grampa drank, though this is not about him. It is always sad when one is so young. Thank you all. Sometimes the thoughts need a place. This is a good one, good friends.
