Topic: Random thought involving kiddie rides

At the NYS fair I saw this kiddie ride where the children were bouncing around on this inflatable titanic thing. Then a thought popped in my head. In about another 100 years, do ya think they are going to make a WTC inflatable kiddie ride? I mean the Titanic was a huge tragic event and many many many people lost there lives. Years later, the titanic became popular because of that movie and since so many of the family of the victims of the boat crash are now gone themselves.
Who is to say our great great grandkids wont do the same?

What do ya'll think?

I think is just sick, and very wrong on so many levels.
The people on the Titanic chose to be there. And any time you are in a boat there is always the chance it will sink, no matter what the cause, they knew this and chose to go anyway.
The people in the WTC didn't have that choice. Their fate was decided for them.
I would hope that my children would have no part of anything such as that, including letting my grandchildren (if I ever get any) play on what others call a ride, such as that.
grumble grumble

I agree, Autumn, that it is quite possible that they will do such a thing, especially if some group is going to make (lots of) money off of doing it.

PMS:
How is it sick? How is it more sick than doing the same for the Titanic? The people on the Titanic didn't choose to be killed or to be rammed into an iceberg. There's always a chance a building is going to get collapsed or "terrorized" just like there is always a chance a ship is going to crash or/and sink. The people chose to be in the buildings and the airplanes as much as the people chose to be in the Titanic knowing full well the risks involved, or they at least should have known. The difference between the two? One has happened in recent memory and the other has not.

Also,it was 1912, a lot of people back then were not really educated, especially on risks. It was advertized as the unsinkable ship!!!!

Everybody in school thought i was crazy when I said they were definitly going to make a movie about 9/11, and lo and behold.

I can even look at pictures of the titanic, wtc, or any of that stuff without being sickened.

Cae, I'm not in any way doubting that someone in the future will do something like that. And how I think of it is just me, just like Autumn's view was her own.
The people in the WTC were at work. Did they have the choice of not makeing a living? Most of the people who were on the Titanic were on it for pleasure, not monetary gain. I say most because I'm sure there were employees on the Titanic as well.
Like the WTC they were there because it was their job to be. For some reason people like having a roof over their heads and groceries in their pantries, etc, etc... Most people have to work somewhere for that to happen.
I truthfully don't believe that there is a greater chace that a building will be terrorized before a boat will sink.

True, but I was just trying to get my point across too.
I wasn't trying to make anyone mad or offend.
Just everyone has different thoughts on everything.
These are just mine.

Its hard not to have a strong opinion when it comes to tragic events.

The Titanic to most people is an ancient event that happened in another century. The last survivor died a few years back and there are no fresh wounds of the heart or mind to reopen if you have a ride such as this.I don't think the ride makers were mocking a tragedy so much as using a recognizable name.
I doubt you will ever in this lifetime see a 9/11 ride or a WTC ride because this will be a far reaching event that effected our very freedoms and shook us to the core.
Most Americans would not patronize such a tasteless display.

Well thats why In saiod in like 100 years would they have a ride?

Yeah, they probably used the titanic for names sake, but it still seems a little wrong to me ya know? Then again, all Holloween became is a homage to murders in the 80s,lol.

Maybe people are just not that sensitive, maybe i am being oversensitive....LOL.
