I think writing can reveal a lot about a person, in terms of language
skills, vocabulary, phraseology, etc. But words can also be deceptive, and I've met a few who were not only very good with words, but also very convincing liars because of their verbal faculties. So, while you do get some useful information through analyzing a person's writings, this doesn't necessarily tell you anything about that person's honesty or ethics....for that, I think you need to get to know the person over a period of time. |

words say alot, fake pics we can usually pic out, writing style says a
helluva lot, you can start to figure out an individual just by the way they respond to different situations in here, and boy do we have every type of situation going on,lol, just my thoughts

OHHHhhh Kojak spoken words or written words if I talk to them enough I
can tell ya if there lying I dont forget nothing and consist with what I say and ones that lie are not.

I agree with Txsgal, especially since I am an ESL teacher...but if you
read a person's posts over time, you can get a real feel for who they are on the inside. Looks are fleeting...your spirit is forever! |

as a counselor I can tell u that if you are fake, you can fool people
sometimes but not all the time, in the end you will get rambled up in ur own lies, I have seen it happen here, |

It's hard to tell online if someone is lying to you just by the words
that they type. However, sometimes it's even hard in person to tell if someone is lying also. You just have to believe what you want to believe and let everything else go in one ear and out the other...or in the case of seeing online I guess you aren't really hearing it, so would it be in one eye and out the other? |

You can tell by the thought and chosen words put into the reply. You might say, well then how can you tell if they are lying ? It s very hard to tell by just looking at words, but in all my years As a Detective, i ve learned the hidden meanings behind those words and can tell the difference. Where were you when I needed you???  Next time I get interested in a guy, can I send you all my yahoo conversations and have you evaluate them?

i think facial expression does give you a second step in learning someone..... and i totally beleive in that with webcams you can get that.... but really the best way is to have personal contact.... and i mean meeting someone in person.. that is step 3 then step 4 is decision to either try to get to know that person even better.... still untill ya live with or are with that person a whole heck of a lot it takes a good 6 months to really decide
