Ambiance


I closed my eyes
and swayed
as if I were a fluid dream
captured by the wind’s spirit

In the serenity of this magnificent freedom
I could feel
the cloud’s calm flow throughout my soul
as it resurrected the hope
that time and again took from me
I could feel it
freeing me
so that I could soar
into the sun’s radiance

I embraced its ambiance
as it took me to lands far
and further away than my imagination . . .
it was if I could reach out and touch heaven
and I knew in my heart
this is what angels must feel
