I've posted five times in this thread to run Acronis Drive Monitor and this will be the sixth. Don't ask for advise unless you're willing to take it yes, but if it wont boot because simply he media is scratched or the usb isnt setup right that acronis wont be worth a hill of beans. So let her find out via f12, and let her see if the cd is bad and let her test a known good bootable cd/dvd media. |

No need to create a cd or usb bootable media. It's a program you install once the computer is boot up |

You cant install when its failed media , and acronis wont tell u that. so she wont need that. She needs to test know good bootable media via the forced boot menu. As said before she could just have a bad cd/dvd. Anyways good luck lady try the forced boot menu on known good boot cd or maybe give that xp cd/dvd one more try. Remeber to hit f12 to enter the boot menu. WEll it should get you to the boot menu. |

We haven't established yet if the hard drive is failing or not which is why I suggested running that program. The boot issue could be a bad cd drive |

However i also wantodo a filerepair since their has been powerfailur that cud hav dmgd a file however i curently hav a problem with tryin to boot from usb. Ive presd f12 yet nothing hapn. Realtek booting is also on this pc.any1 know how it works. The cdrom hasnt been visible prior to the error. The cdrom has power yet it doesnt show in explorer. How do i activate drivr4cdrom. Anywz im trying to boot usb with win2flash itdoesnt boot up

Please help the computer was fast and then it rebooted from recovering from serious problem automaticaly. Now it runs very slow and take ten min to boot. Please help check your fans and see if they are dusty.it could be your PC isn't staying cool enough |

Appreciate IT. acronis is worthless its to see if your cd is working . however since u found out it isnt u dont need acronis. you can try http://www.sarducd.it/downloads/SARDU_2.0.6.3.zip its a multi boot usb maker u need the iso file of the os. so u need xp sp3.iso if u want to install xp sp3 from a usb thumb drive its about 700 megs big |

Thanks i will install sardu. Idownloaded the latest win2flash didnt boot up. I downloaded acronis and yes hardisk have no problems. I wanto reinstall the system files if only i can reboot from usb. The booting iset4usb yet it either gives blank screen or boots from hd. Ive set all options to usb and it stilload from hd. Anyways awaiting good advise i do read all the advise and follow it when posbl. Thank you very much 4every1help.

u will need the xp .iso file as sardu will ask for it on running to install it on the usb then run the bootable usb u made with sardu

Current status. Mem test fine. Hardisktest fine temp. Fine..no virus or antivirus interference. Next do file repair for win xp.. Problem cdrom has power and pc doesnt read cd. Next install from usb yet win2flash just flash a blank screen at me..next advisbl step install sardu.. Thus if any1 can make the cd work again or make the usbootbl. Iwill b most greatfull. Iread post daily and implement all sugestions asp. Thank u4helping

1. u need an iso file of xp then having made the bootable usb with sardu it would boot. Do you have an iso file of xp sp3
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/burnisofile.htm tells u what an iso file is. so if u have bitorrent u can download the torrent file or what is called have bittorent open it to ur hardrive . With win2flash bootup it displays the bootup menu yet it doesnt run setup from usb

I have installed sardu ,maybe i can make iso from cd. Anywaystil cant bootup

no the cd player since it wont work. WE have already known that. You make a iso to usb from sardu. So you can boot from usb. That works i use sardu all the time I can remote in and make it for u i can give u my email via sending u my email. via the email here
