Topic: Would you date someone of a different race..No! why not? | |
---|---|
My first online experience was on Zoosk. It was fun ....received a lot of "winks" and chat requests. One day I got an "odd" wink.
The guy said " Thanks for the interest. However I am a white boy and I'm looking for the same" No he wasn't gay...he was looking for a white girl! First of all... I did not message this guy...let's put that out there right away! He was in a grouping with a bunch of other guys. I politely told him that I did not view him or message him...Zoosk obviously sends random "matches" . I also informed him that he may want to keep that in mind before sending this type of message in the future. My point is.... He couldn't be alone in his way of thinking! Mingle people, if you don't mind interracial dating... however, its just not for you..Can you tell me why? |

I try to date the person not the other stuff. In my experience: Americanized and/or white women tend to smack me a lot; foreigners tend to want money- that is the bad, the good is.... wait give me a minute...

I cant commit to who I havent yet met. ....so Im open to other races, but I was brought up surrounded by whiteys. I told my mother that was the only thing I didnt like about our neighborhood once, and she told me 'we do too have black people, they live on blah street' to which I LOLed big. She didnt get it. blah blah blah,,,anyhoo, my point is that Im likely to have more in common with a white person, but I do get crushes on folks of many races. Im not 'looking for the same' as your example was, but its in my mind. I accept it, when it happens to me, as the 'acceptable' racism by way of preferences. Its still cold, but you really gotta let people make their own choices, I think, when it comes to such a personal choice. Just sharing my experiece/perspective. Oh, and I would never say that to someone because to me, thats forkin rude. I know right! I was pissed 1st because I would never have sent that reject a wink...nod..or flipped the bird in his direction.. if I were white or green! Then..I got extra angry because I thought..what if I did like this A$$hole! He couldn't have said " sorry..I'm not interested"?! I know r |

Being friendly and respectful is not limited to any color or nationality. When i was in High School the only women that really talked to me were white women, so obviously that was all I dated at that time. Since college my preference for dating are women of color from various nationalities. As far as online as you said these flirts are often site driven so that person may not of even known about you in the first place.
However if a white woman messaged me I would not say anything of that magnitude that I dont date them. She would get the same chance as anyone else would. If she could catch my attention and mind then who knows? |

This makes me wonder about the phrase: "black enough", what does this mean, they asked it about RGIII (go Skins); I have dated a lot of black women, only two really troubled me: one who had me pull my car over on the Roosevelt Blvd and proceeded to beat up some other woman- apparently they have been doing that since high school and one who was very quiet and demur, and I fell asleep on her couch, stuck my hand under the cushions and pulled out a .22; she said it was for "when she had to go ghetto" on someone"s azz. I don't mind a little excitement in my women, but I draw the line on crazy.

Have and would again. Why? Cause I just don't care. really I know I do exclude some sections of the world....I mean 6000 miles is a long commute otherwise....meh....I usually do date my own race but it's not a prereq and I do not have a "requirement" I have dated other races and I think they dated me also |

I have never personally dated outside of my race. Not because I have any aversion to it. Because I live in s small town with little, to no diversity. I think women are beautiful no matter what "race". The whole idea of racial bias is just plain ignorant. We are all humans just trying to make our way on this planet.

If color is a thing then count me out. it ain't about the color. It is about what is inside and outside. A hot black woman is hot no matter what any monochromatic wants to believe! Likewise I have seen some women of the Brown persuasion that likewise cause fires with their god given aesthetic!!!
I am an artist. I like ALL colors, well, Puce I got to question! That and Avocado Green... |

If I had the opportunity, then yes, I would. However, there would be certain things stopping me from dating africans, because so many of them have H.I.V, and what with having had a stomach illness into early adulthood, I would be better off avoiding risk factors with my health. I also would never date an indian, because of their culture and I get a bit scared by it. So as you can see, me turning a guy down, would never be down to racial factors. Racists give me a negative vibe, anyway. Someone in this world will always have a problem with someone's physical features, but if they are so close-minded, more pity on them. You are what you are.

There's quite a few people out there who have a skin color preference. I've met people of different races (and nationalities), who say they stick with white or black(or certain nationalities). I also have seen/heard some comments from people of one race when they see an interracial couple, and they weren't very nice. I personally don't care, but to each their own.

You are cool in my book! lol, that is kind of cool 'black' enough,,,is usually a phrase used by those who have some preset determination of what being black is (other than having a certain ancestry),,,, dont quite understand it myself,,, and to answer the op,, when I was younger, I was not often approached by a 'diverse' mix of non black guys,, those who happened to approach me were just a bit too,, I dont know,, soft/nerdy for my taste I went to school with a more valley/90210 crowd of non black folks,,the justin timberlake/robin thicke types were not around,,,,, as I got older , traveled more, lived more, I met a more diverse slection of males from all races,,,met more 'cool' and 'hard' types, and began dating them so at one point, I didnt date interracially, but it was never because of the 'race',,,,just the environment and the opportunity |

I don't really care much about skin color. I'd be willing to date any female that I found attractive.

At some point in their lifetimes, an estimated 1 in 16 black men and 1 in 32 black women will be diagnosed with HIV infection. from cdc,,, just an FYI,,,their prevalence is highest racially, but still not so high in real numbers,,,, |
