In the Moment


I find myself
indulging in silence
as if it were an elixir
potent enough to stop me from daydreaming

I can now see
the tiny drops of morning dew
on each blade of grass
and the clouds stretching across the sky
as if my eyes were their destination
I smell the flowers
inhaling spring’s presence
I feel the breeze
as the sun showers me
it feels so good
to live in the moment
this moment
when I find myself
listening to the silence
as the birds sing songs
more beautiful than any daydream my soul could paint
