The right to own a gun and the right to carry a concealed weapon are separate. The publishing of this list in the paper is not only potentially dangerous to both gun owners and those that don't own guns (for different reasons, respectively), but it's really shoddy and improper journalism that doesn't serve any recognizable purpose.
I try to stay out of all of these directly gun-legislation arguments though, especially right now. I think it's typically a terrible decision to go through with any legislation when under duress or national scrutiny. |
